So, yet another week of nice dress up has passed. Besides having huge emotional set-backs on the extended family affairs, I am looking relatively fresh,.all this hustlin'an bustlin,.huff, I so wish Tony could get a licence to drive so I could enjoy a glass or wine (and some biscuits that is) at the art-openings. However, as you know, when I´m not busy swinging that champagen-dress around the ballrooms, I tend to be your ordinary student case...This time I will once again raise my voice for the longjohns, this is really the season for this item. You have seen them before, and here they are again, this time in a brand new setting: the classroom, how suitable. But! As we all know, its not good to be too heavily clad inside these modern buildnings,(someone is a bit tiered here...half asleep actually) even though we live in the arctic. So, take of those fristads jackets boys, and that goes for snowmobile-outfits too,.it really clams the air in an uncomfortable way! (No, really... is that the reason?)So, everyone out there, make sure that you wear doubles, so you can take one pair off if things get hot!(oi! smarty pants) After all, it is University we are talking about here, yay! Surely that was the year when the green wave hit us, and gosh did we get hit hard in Stockholm. I guess my style is quite influenced by this neo-trend movement.

Last of Longjohns...

So, dear readers, on request I need to update this fashion site, I realize you can´t live without my advice when it comes to the usual "what should I wear then??" Fear not, Alfonsa is here to direct your moves into the warderobe of wonders! First of all, the reason for such delay, I mean is was summer, wasn´t it? Yes, and I figured all the fashionistas out there would die to catch a flash of me in my summer outfits,.but not so likely! When I look through my photos of the past months, I find non of myself dressed up for those summernite parties and tropical dancemoves,..nah. So, I have to re-think that for the next summer and perhaps hire Tony to be my private paparazzi. Eh, or not. Anyways, big change came upon our little camp. The Muurola life-style is over, we now are urban crawlers...I can desperately announce that we now live on the great rocky peninsula where the Kemi and Ounas- rivers meet! The historical ground of the pohjolan Paris, before the war,.and the charmingly re-built town of Roi afterwards (and no, we don´t talk about the war), nowadays its Rollo. The charcoal is gone, a fenix risen from the ashes, the rocky peninsula rocks. (+ Its totally fine to live in the industrial area btw, and our flat that was "tyydyttävä" is now scrubbed clean and has a real nice window facing south. we see rainbows, moonphases and lightning nicely) So, a last pic for the nostalgic trip back to the past...one of those Muurola days, hanging about in longjohns...those days are forever gone.

When I started dreaming about all those days spent in Helly-Hansen pants...I looked through some old flicks,.and I found one from last year! I was pregnant 6 months,.and my mother encouraged me to make go through some bits and pieces of my walk-in closet...it ended up being a total mess in her washing-room. She don´t love my clothing collection. I believed she had high hopes that time that I migth make some irrational choices to throw away some rags. I don´t remember if that actually happened or not, anyways: That´s when the photo was taken...oh Helly Hansen!

Yeti- Boots

Spring time came fast to Muurola, I was actually expecting more water on the ice that day...Those shoes are so waterproof and soft to walk around in. I have to mention that I am wearing the absolute best pant ever in this fashio shoot! They are Blue Helly Hansen pants, I call them "medicine"...I would like to explain it closer, but I find it a bit difficult,.I think everyone who has ever been around these kinds of pants know what I´m on about...They are absolutely fantastic! Once I wore a pair like these for 4 months in a row...That was when I was on a fashion-study in the Norwegian capital : Oslo, also known as "Tiger City"..those were the days... !
